BRIEF
The SDSU Imperial Valley Campus was hosting two community events that were in the same weekend. They needed a system that connected the events through the school but still emphasized that they were separate celebrations.
SOLUTION
The solution that I designed features large red and black color blocks that intersect and create diagonals that make for an exciting and dynamic visual system. Because there was so much information to fit alongside all of the photos, I ultimately decided to lay the photos out in a fairly modular grid so all of the assets were still organized. The client was looking for a bold and eye catching design so I decided to use a very bold san serif for much of the primary information along with a bright red and black color palette that harkens to the school colors. I used this design system to create promotional material including flyers, social media posts, and supplemental article graphics.
